EARLY TESTING - Glucose

Biosense has conducted both in vitro and clinical tests of its saliva-based glucose sensor. Some examples of the sensitivity and linearity of the sensor, and a comparison with a blood glucose meter (BGM) are shown below.

How good is it?

• Tested in vitro, the Biosense glucose sensor has shown to be highly linear and extremely sensitive

• When tested against a conventional blood glucose meter (BGM) with a diluted blood sample, the Biosense glucose sensor shows comparable accuracy

• Saliva-based measurements can be correlated to blood-based readings with careful collection of saliva at a corresponding timeframe (about 15 minutes difference)
