Biosense has developed a nanomaterial-based sensor technology that can measure extremely low concentrations, enabling it to provide saliva-based measurements not previously possible.

How it works

•  Uses "glucose oxidase", a proven and very selective means of detecting glucose

•  Similarly, the lactate test strip uses "lactate oxidase", for selectivity in measuring lactate

•  Carbon nanotube structure increases the surface area, and amplifies the signal, enabling detection of very low concentrations

•  The Biosense technology is protected through patent(s) pending, and numerous trade secrets

•  The glucose oxidase can be replaced with other enzymes that can detect lactate, cortisol, and many other analytes
